This year's fundraiser was a great success. For the second year in a row, all available raffle tickets were sold. The proceeds from the raffle go to Local 24's Committee on Political Education. YTU Formed To Bring Labor Education And Involvement To Younger Generations

The Young Trade Unionists are a new group of young (under 35) union members in the Metro Baltimore-Washington DC area who meet to educate on the history of the labor movement, discuss current labor issues and focus on solutions. Cory V. McCray, Local 24 Assistant Business Manager and Organizer, is currently serving as Board Chair for the organization.

YTU is proud to announce the launch of their website, www.youngtradeunionists.orgThe group plans to use the website and their Facebook page as tools to educate young people and engage them in the labor movement.

YTU encourages all young union members to attend their meetings, held on the first Monday of every month.
