Richard Stoner Andrews Obituary

ANDREWS, Richard Stoner

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, April 23, 2017, the Feast of the Divine Mercy, Richard Stoner Andrews peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Richard was 60 years old, and fought a courageous battle with heart disease for over 13 years. To say the world lost one of the good ones is an understatement. Richard was many things to so many friends and family, he was truly a gift to all of us. Richard lived life to the fullest until the end. Everyone who knew him understood his love of his family, friends and his beloved Sharon. His life-long quote was "I'm not here for a long time; I'm here for a good time!" He was a superb Master Electrician who proudly worked for General Motors for over twenty years.

Richard was the son of the late Susan Sauer. He is survived by his beloved sister, Barbara Ziegler, his loving fiancé and life-long partner, Sharon Jones, his "stepsons" Christopher Jones (Melissa), Michael Jones (Carrie), and his cherished nieces, Karen Johnston, Wendy Burkins, Tracy Ziegler and Amy Schultz (Lou) and their families and countless devoted friends. Besides his mother he is predeceased by his sister Susan Holl.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 28, at Parkview Funeral Home, 7527 Harford Rd, Baltimore, MD 21234, 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., a dedication will be offered by Chaplain Selwyn Ray. A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, at the funeral home.
