On April 15, 2017, our beloved Donald K. (Jack) Hawkins, Sr. passed away peacefully at the age of 97, at the Berlin Nursing Home in Berlin, MD. He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Hawkins (née Buscemi) of 74 years; his son, Paul and wife, Christine; daughter-in-law, Melanie, as well as 3 grandchildren: Laurie, Donna, and Greg. Preceded in his death, was oldest son, Donald K. (Jack) Hawkins Jr. Donald served Honorably in the US Army during WWII and was involved in the invasion of the Philippine Island. When he returned home he had a successful career as an electrician with Local 24 IBEW. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be forever missed. Services were private and interment took place at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, in Rosedale MD.
