Salisbury-James R. Smith, 73, of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Coastal Hospice At The Lake. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Chandous Henry Smith and Rachel Lillian Elliott Smith.

"Jim" was a retired journeyman electrician and a member of IBEW Local 24 and Moose Lodge 654. He enjoyed fishing, vegetable gardening, tinkering and helping others.

He is survived by a daughter, Teresa M. Nicholson of Salisbury; 2 grandchildren, Dustin Mills and his wife, Linda, and Crystal Mills, all of Salisbury; a great grandson, Chase Mills and a great granddaughter "on the way"; and a sister, Patricia Ward and her husband, Harlan of Salisbury.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Gloria Wyatt Smith in 2013.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron with Rev. Jay Hurley officiating.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holloway Funeral Home.
