On September 26, 2014 Robert Francis Welsh, Sr., 90 years, 16th son of William E. and Wilhelmina Conaway Welsh; husband and best friend of Rosalie Bryant Welsh for 68 years; father of Terrie Lynn Schletzer Frederick (deceased), Robert F. Welsh, Jr., Stuart W. Welsh, and Stephen B. Welsh; grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of four. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Welsh was a member of VFW 7472; a 32nd Degree Shriner; a 67 year member of IBEW, Local 24, N.E.C.A.; the President/Owner of Welsh Electric Corp.; Chairman of CC Murphy, Inc. (a construction specialty distributor); and a WWII Veteran of the Battle of the Bulge and Normandy Beach. The family will receive friends at HARRY H. WITZKE'S FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City on Monday 2 - 4pm and 6 - 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Tuesday, 11am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment Baltimore National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Helping Up Mission or to the OLPH Building Fund.
