Melvin Nash, Jr.Passed Away on August 26, 2014

Melvin Anthony Nash, Jr., 72 , of Hampstead, died on Tuesday August 26, 2014 at the Dove House in Westminster. Born October 26, 1941 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Melvin A. Nash Sr. and Mildred (Wilson) McMillan. He was the loving husband of Nancy Nash, his wife of 53 years.


A Navy veteran, he served on the USS Spiegel Grove LSD 32. He was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 200, and VFW Post #467. Melvin was an electrician with Local 24 and was a member of Violetville United Methodist Church.


Surviving in addition to his wife, is daughter, Laurie Ann Rasinski and husband Kenneth Rasinski, Sr. of Chester, MD; son, Melvin "Tony" Anthony Nash III of Hampstead, MD; grandsons, Kenneth Rasinski, Jr. and Derrek Rasinski; granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Nash; great grandson, Madden Ryan Nash; sister, Diane Poling and husband Leslie "Jr" Poling of Terra Alta, WV.


The family will receive friends at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead, on Friday from 3-5 & 7- 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 30, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Nathaniel Green officiating. Interment will be in Hampstead Cemetery.
