SALISBURY—Richard Lamont Windsor, 76, of Salisbury went home to the Lord on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Born April 2, 1937, he was the son of the late Norman Windsor and Helen Ennis Windsor.
Richard worked for IBEW Local Union 24 as an electrician for 32 years. His hobbies included camping, electronics, computer games and making candy. His family meant the world to him and he will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sandra Windsor, who he married March 28, 1964. Other survivors include his brother, Ronnie Windsor; his sister, Debbie Windsor; two daughters, Cindy Layfield and husband, Norman, of Whaleyville and Audrey Layfield and husband, Buddy, of Parsonsburg; five grandchildren, Ronnie Campbell, Richard Layfield, Ryan Watkins, Randel Watkins and Emily Watkins; a special cousin, Kay Briele; a dear friend, Steve Bacon; and his dog, Chloe.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 29, at 11 a.m. at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. The Rev. Terry Fort will officiate. Family and friends may come to his home immediately following the service.
