Gary Lee Bancroft, 58, of Westminster, died Friday, September 25, 2009 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born June 26, 1951 in Franklin, Pa., he was the son of the late Mildred Marie Patton Bancroft and Harold Eugene Bancroft. He was the husband of Roxanne Fowble Bancroft, his wife of 34 years. He was a 1969 graduate of Westminster High School. He was a master electrician who worked as an estimator for Power Solutions. He served in the Navy in Vietnam on the U.S.S. Forrestal and was a member of IBEW Local No. 24, enjoyed golfing, collecting coins, the Ravens, traveling and driving his corvette. Besides his wife he is survived by son and daughter-in-law Mike and Jenn Bancroft of Manchester, daughter Michele Bancroft and fiancé Doug Wolfe of Westminster, sister and brother-in-law Kay and Larry Fogle of Westminster, granddaughters Ashlyn, Kensi and Addison Bancroft, niece and husband Melissa and Barry Seal of Manchester and great-nephew Colby, mother-in-law Lorraine Fowble of Westminster, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws Susan and Vernon Rocco of Freeland, Md., Jeffrey and Michele Fowble of South Carolina and Steven and Gail Fowble of Maryland. He was predeceased by brother Ronald James Bancroft. The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 9 P.M. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 P.M. at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held Tuesday evening at 7 P.M. at the funeral home with Chaplain Jimmie Schwartz officiating. Interment will be private.
