Edwin R. "Mike" Siemasko, 87, of Jessup, died July 26 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie of natural causes.


He was born July 22, 1922 in Shamokin, Pa.


He served in the Army during WW II.


He worked at Glen L. Martin Airport, then joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) as a general foreman IBEW Local #24 - Baltimore for over 50 years.


He served as Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus of Odenton #5263 and was a member of the VFW, Elkridge Post 8097. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jessup.


His passions were his family, IBEW Local Union #24, the Baltimore Colts, now the Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles.


He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Helen (nee Latvanas) Siemasko whom he married in 1952 and who died in 1982; four brothers, Alphonse Siemasko, Chester Siemasko, Joseph Siemasko and Lawrence Siemasko; and three sisters, Bertha Radovich, Oliverio Siemasko and Florence Siemasko.


Survivors include his son, Michael Siemasko of Odenton.


Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 28 at Hardesty Funeral Home in Gambrills.


A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 29 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 2815 Jessup Road (Rte 175) in Jessup. Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
